1. Rope weaving/ Charpai weaving Workshop
In collaboration with local artisans, our recent Charpoy weaving workshop provided around 38 students from the Indian Institute of Architecture and Design with hands-on experience in traditional rope weaving, fostering direct interaction and knowledge exchange.
Through engaging with the artisans, attendees delved into the rich history and cultural significance of Charpoy weaving, gaining a profound appreciation for the craft's intricacies.
A visit to the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum further enriched the experience, showcasing the diverse exploration of traditional crafts.
This workshop not only celebrated the artistry of traditional rope weaving but also underscored the importance of preserving and promoting traditional craftsmanship in today's rapidly changing world, setting the stage for future endeavours to support local artisans and promote cultural appreciation.
